DC United match against El Salvadorian national soccer team to benefit the Spanish Catholic Center
The match, to be held on June 19 at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC, will in part benefit the Spanish Catholic Center's Langley Park medical clinic. Proceeds from ticket sales will be split between the Center and United for DC and are now available.

Angel's Watch Shelter receives Governor's Award for Victim Assistance
The award was given to Angel's Watch and the Southern Maryland Women's League, whose partnership has enhanced the services at the shelter dedicated to serving women and children fleeing abuse.

Hermano Pedro Day Shelter receives national award from American Psychiatric Foundation
Hermano Pedro Multicultural Day Shelter, a day program providing counseling, clothing, food and support for individuals who are homeless, received the Advancing Minority Mental Health Award, to be presented at the American Psychiatric Foundation's annual meeting.

Share in Hope Food Drive raises over 122,000 pounds of food
Collections from the drive benefit Capital Area Food Bank, Southern Maryland Food Bank, the Spanish Catholic Center and parish-run food pantries throughout the region. In three years, more than 400,000 pounds of food have been collected in the annual drive.
