Scott and Courtney Clark Pastrick Chair Catholic Charities Foundation Gala

Eric and Fuzzy Billings to be honored; Goal to raise $1.5 million for poverty programs.

The Catholic Charities Foundation’s 2006 Benefit Gala will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2006. This year’s Gala co-chairs are R. Scott Pastrick and Courtney Clark Pastrick. Mr. Pastrick is President and CEO of BKSH & Associates, a world-wide government relations firm. Mrs. Clark Pastrick is Executive Director of the Clark Charitable Foundation.

Cardinal Theodore E. McCarrick, Archbishop of Washington, will join 1,000 guests in recognizing Eric and Fuzzy Billings, recipients of the 2006 Voice of Hope Award. Catholic Charities Foundation presents the award each year to philanthropists who have demonstrated outstanding civic and charitable responsibility. The Billings led last year’s gala, which raised a record-breaking $1.5 million. Eric Billings is Chairman and CEO of Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group, a national investment bank headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. Fuzzy Billings is a Washington native and graduate of The Holton-Arms School and Duke University.

The gala benefits the 94 programs of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington, including the former Catholic Charities programs, Spanish Catholic Center, Kennedy Institute, and Anchor Mental Health. This year’s theme is Opening Doors to Help and Hope, and will feature entertainment by the four-time Grammy Award winning ensemble, The Blind Boys of Alabama.

This year marks the first Catholic Charities Foundation gala benefiting Catholic Charities - a leading private provider of social services in the nation’s capital. Catholic Charities Foundation provides the vital funding that makes the good work of Catholic Charities possible. Each year, Catholic Charities helps 120,000 people with support related to housing, food, legal, physical and mental health, and other services.
