Christmas Star provides parents who access our services with a dignified means to give Christmas gifts to their children.
With your help, families who participate in our housing, trafficking victims, mental health, dental and legal services, and Kennedy School and Child Development Center, among other programs, will have a very merry Christmas.
Our goal this year is to raise at least $40,000 to provide gift cards for 1,500 children in the District of Columbia and suburban Maryland. If we exceed that goal, more children will benefit.
This year, families will receive a $25 gift card for each child, which they will use to purchase presents. The gift cards will be distributed to parents by employees of Catholic Charities or at Christmas parties for client families hosted by participating schools and churches.
Help make a family’s Christmas wishes come true.
It is more than giving presents; it is giving a family joyful holiday memories for years to come.
