Washington, Nov. 18, 2024 — Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington will feed 300 people who are experiencing food insecurity and homelessness at a Thanksgiving dinner hosted in partnership with Pepco on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

The annual Thanksgiving event, which kicks off Catholic Charities’ season of giving, includes a sit-down dinner in a festive atmosphere at Pepco’s Edison Place Gallery. Pepco employees will distribute warm winter coats and toiletry kits.

The dinner given through Catholic Charities’ St. Maria’s Meals program fosters a sense of community among guests and volunteers in the true spirit of Thanksgiving.

More than two dozen Catholic Charities volunteers will serve plates of turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, collard greens, cranberry sauce, dinner roll and pumpkin pie made by Catholic Charities’ KitchenWork program.
